How do I configure the router to forward a single port to one of my PCs?

 

You can use the Virtual Server to forward an individual port toone of your computers. You cannot forward the same port to multiplecomputers. In order to configure the Virtual Server you need toknow the IP address of the computer that needs the port opened andthe service port number. The links below will help you find the IPaddress of your machine. If you don't know which port needs to beopened, try checking the software manufacture's support website forinformation on use behind firewall.

Configuring the Virtual Server:
Step 1 Access the device configuration by entering192.168.0.1 in your web browser. Login with your username andpassword. The default username is admin and thepassword is blank.

Step 2a If the port you need to forward is acommon port, it will be under the predefined virtual server list atthe bottom of the page. Click the pad and paper icon next to thevirtual server entry you want to use. The Protocol Type and ServicePort fields are pre-configured. Click the Enableradio button to use the virtual server. Enter the private IPaddress of the computer that will use the service port. Configurethe Schedule as needed, then Apply your settings.

Step 2b If the port you need to forward is notlisted under the predefined virtual server list at the bottom ofthe page, you can create a new entry for your application. Clickthe Enable radio button to use the virtual server.Give your virtual server a name. Next, enter the private IP addressof the computer that will use the service port. Then, select theProtocol Type and enter the Service Port. If you don't know how touse Private and Public port assignment, then just enter the sameport number in both fields. Configure the Schedule as needed andApply your settings.
