Please read before upgrading:

• Upgrading firmware will reset the settings to default whichmeans you will lose all your settings.
• Do NOT upgrade firmware over a wirelessconnection. You may damage the DWL-G730AP.

Step 1 Download the firmware and save the fileto your computer. You may want to save the file to your desktop. Donot try to run or launch the file - it will not work.

WARNING: DO NOT upgrade the firmware with awireless connection. You may damage the DWL-G730AP. Also, doing socould void the warranty.

Step 2 Open a web browser and type the IP addressof the DWL-G730AP in the address bar (default is 192.168.0.30).Press Enter.

Step 3 The default username isadmin (all lower case) and the default password isblank (nothing). Click OK.

Step 4 Click the Tools tab andthen click Firmware to the left.

Step 5 Below Firmware Upgrade clickBrowse... and navigate to the .bin or .tfp fileyou downloaded in Step 1.  Left-clickthe file once to select it and then clickOpen.

Step 6 Click Apply. It will takea few seconds for the upgrade to complete. ClickContinue.

Step 7 After the DWL-G730AP reboots, close yourweb browser and re-open it. Enter the IP address of the DWL-G730AP(default is 192.168.0.30) to reconnect to the web-basedconfiguration. Enter username admin and againleave the password blank. Click OK.

Step 8 Click on the Tools tabthen click Firmware to the left. If next toCurrent Firmware Version the new version is displayed thenthe firmware upgrade is now complete. If the firmware version hasnot changed then start over again from Step 2.

Step 9 If you have problems with the web-basedconfiguration at this point, unplug the power to the DWL-G730AP,wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in. Repeat Step7.  If this did not help, perform a hard reset on theDWL-G730AP. To perform a hard reset, use a paperclip and hold downthe reset button on the back of the unit for 10 seconds while thedevice is powered on. Release it and the DWL-G730AP will reboot,the lights will blink, and then stabilize. Repeat Step7.

Step 10 You can now reconfigure theDWL-G730AP.
