Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Access Point (DIS-2650AP)

D-Link, a global leader in networking and connectivity technology, has announced additions of the Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Access Point (DIS-2650AP) to its industrial networking solution. The new launch offers a robust, centrally managed solution enabling reliable wireless connectivity for harsh environments.  

The Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Access Point is built with cutting-edge 802.11ac Wave 2 technology, offering combined dual-band wireless speeds of up to 1200 Mbps. Delivering and supporting MU-MIMO technology and Band Steering, the DIS-2650AP allows multiple devices to get high-bandwidth Wi-Fi signal while connecting to the best available frequency band at the same time. 

To enable connectivity in industrial spaces, the new access point is designed with a sturdy metal casing and a wide operating temperature range of -20 to 65°C. The DIS-2650AP also comes with built-in 2 kV surge and 15kV ESD protection ensuring continuous operation even in the event of electric surges or discharges.

Adaptable and designed to fit into a range of networking environments with ease, the DIS-2650AP can be configured to various operation modes: access point, wireless distribution system (WDS) with access point, WDS / bridge (no AP broadcasting), and wireless client. 

For added flexibility, the DIS-2650AP can also be easily mounted on a DIN rail or wall and has the option of being powered by PoE or DC input, making it ideal for placing in hard-to-reach areas to provide connectivity wherever needed. 

The Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Access Point can be deployed as a standalone device or centrally managed through D-Link’s free Nuclias Connect management software or the Nuclias Connect Hub, allowing network administrators to monitor and configure networks remotely. 

The DIS-2650AP is part of D-Link’s extensive range of industrial networking solutions, including Ethernet switches and M2M VPN routers, to offer full-scale connectivity in a range of challenging environments.
