D-Link, the leading video surveillance solution provider in Europe, is extending its popular Vigilance camera range with the addition of the DCS-4703E. This 3-megapixel, Power over Ethernet (PoE), day and night bullet camera is perfect for outdoor installations.

The DCS-4703E has a small footprint for discrete positioning and supports 802.3af PoE, providing power and networking connectivity with a single cable for ease of installation. This camera is ideal for security installers looking to expand their outdoor digital video surveillance offering.

3-megapixel resolution delivers super-high definition, professional grade video surveillance, making the DCS-4703E a perfect choice when facial or object recognition is required.

The camera’s built-in high-performance infrared LED provides long distance night vision of up to 20 metres. Wide dynamic range (WDR) together with 3D noise reduction, helps to further enhance the image quality of the DCS-4703E, delivering quality images regardless of variations in light levels and challenging light conditions.

Kevin Wen, President of D-Link Europe, commented: “At D-Link, we’re dedicated to developing the best possible cameras at a competitive price for security installers. In an increasingly competitive and challenging market, our products enable them to deliver the best service possible. The addition of the DCS-4703E to our Vigilance range provides installers with a multi-megapixel outdoor surveillance solution. Installed outdoors with minimal fuss, this new camera provides detailed images without compromising on quality and reliability.”

The DCS-4703E is fully compatible with D-Link’s free D-ViewCam software which allows for up to 32 D-Link network cameras to be centrally managed, viewed in real-time and recorded based on motion detection or schedule. Users can also upload a floor plan to create a realistic layout of the premises and camera locations, as well as set up e-mail and audio alerts. ONVIF support allows the DCS-4703E to work seamlessly with 3rd party video surveillance equipment, further simplifying the installation and management of the surveillance system.
