D-Link, a global leader in network technologies, has announced an addition to its family of switches with the new DSS-100E Series Fast Ethernet PoE Unmanaged Surveillance Switches. The new launch offers a robust surveillance solution with long-range deployment, high PoE power budget and surge protection, engineered to suit a wide range of environments.

The DSS-100E Series Fast Ethernet PoE Unmanaged Surveillance Switches are specifically designed for surveillance deployments at longer distances, offering a high PoE power budget of 30W per port. The switches can deliver power and data to surveillance systems at up to 250 metres away via a standard Ethernet cable, ensuring extended area coverage without the need of additional PoE extenders.

Additionally, the 9-port DSS-100E-9P can detect when long-range support is needed and automatically activate extended mode without any manual configuration, making life easy for users.

The DSS-100E Series also offer 6kV surge protection against lightning strikes on all ports, enhancing safety and reliability for the switch as well as all connected devices

Easy to set up and install, and perfect for the expansion of a network, the DSS-100E Series offers Gigabit uplink ports, allowing for an increase of overall network bandwidth using the speed of Gigabit Ethernet. The 18-port DSS-100E-18P also comes with enhanced PoE power budget of 230W as well as Gigabit combo uplink port to provide additional flexibility to connect over greater distances using fibre optics.
