What is the difference between 802.11a/b/g?

802.11b/g provides a connection up to 108Mbits on the 2.4GHzband.
802.11a connects up to 11Mbits on the 5GHz band, where interferencefrom cordless phones, bluetooth and neighbour access points is lessfrequent.
Both bands are popular, and you can also combine them using aTri-Band router or access point.
