Installazione comoda
La serie DXS-3600 dà al tuo network capacità di switching fino a 960/480 Gbps e forwarding rate fino a 714/357 Mbps. I Power Module Hot-swappable, ed i vassoi ventola, danno allo switch ridondanza e disponibilità. In termini di ridondanza, la condivisione del carico di lavoro tra diversi Power Module aiuta ad estendere il ciclo di vita del prodotto. Il design delle ventole modulare può garantire ridondanza 2+1 per il sistema. Se una ventola smette di funzionare o se la temperatura aumenta, la velocità delle altre ventole aumenterà di conseguenza per permettere allo switch di operare correttamente ed evitare periodi di inattività.
Software flessibile
La serie DXS-3600 può essere installata usando una delle due immagini software disponibili. La Standard Image (SI) dispone di una varietà di funzioni Layer 2, VLAN, multicasting, QoS, di sicurezza, data center e static routing. La Enhanced Image (EI) dispone di funzionalità complete di routing IPv4/v6, inclusi RIP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, e di caratteristiche L3 multicasting come IGMP, MLD, PIM-DM, SM, SDM, SSM e DVMR. La EI inoltre supporta L2/L3 MPLS VPN che permette alla serie DXS-3600 di essere utilizzata come router centrale di un ambiente enterprise o come aggregation switch in un ambiente MPLS.
Funzionalità Data Center
Il Data Center Bridging (DCB) è un set essenziale di miglioramenti Ethernet per il networking in ambienti data center. Il DXS-3600 supportano vari componenti del DCB, come il IEEE 802.1Qbb, IEEE 802.1Qaz, e IEEE 802.1Qau, che impediscono la perdita di dati nei momenti di congestione della rete, gestiscono l’allocazione della banda e consentono il management della congestione. Il DXS-3600 supporta anche lo switching cut-through, che riduce la latency.
Energy efficient
La serie DXS-3600 permette di gestire il flusso d’aria utilizzando diversi moduli di potenza e ventilazione. Il Front-to-back Airflow ottimizza la circolazione dell’aria per garantire un raffreddamento più efficiente attraverso i rack system nei data center. Gli switch sono anche dotati di smart fan; dei sensori di calore interni monitorano e rilevano i cambiamenti di temperatura, e reagiscono di conseguenza regolando la velocità delle ventole. Con temperature basse, le ventole gireranno più lentamente, riducendo il consumo di energia e la rumorosità dello switch.
