WDS (Wireless Distribution System) allows access points tocommunicate with one another wirelessly in a standardized way. Itcan also simplify the network infrastructure by reducing the amountof cabling required. Basically the access points will act as aclient and an access point at the same time.

Note: WDS is not completely specified in WiFi orIEEE standards. Communication with other vendor´s accesspoints is not guaranteed.
