D-Link, a global leader in home security and surveillance solutions, has announced two new mydlink™ cameras with a wide range of intelligent detection features, specifically designed for high-quality surveillance in a wide range of indoor environments. Designed for the modern home or small office, the mydlink Smart Full HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8325LH) and Mini Full HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8000LHV2) are simple to set up and accessible remotely from anywhere, at any time.

The Smart Full HD Wi-Fi Camera comes with a free, intelligent AI-Based motion detection. It gives users more choices on what is captured by the camera and when they should be alerted. Users can specify what types of motion they would like to detect, such as an intruder as opposed to a dog, an object crossing a defined boundary or into a specific area. They can also as define multiple zones, alerting them immediately when movement is detected in particular areas.

The DCS-8325LH comes packed with features such as integrated night vision, 1080p resolution, microSD card slot for local recording, two-way audio functionality as well as the latest WPA3 Wi-Fi security. Its 151-degrees wide-angle lens allows users to see more of their room with a single camera.

D-Link has also announced the new Mini Full HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8000LHV2) – an update to its best-selling DCS-8000LH camera. Equally compact in design, it has been upgraded with 1080p Full HD resolution, the latest WPA3 Wi-Fi security as well as AI-based motion detection. The camera can distinguish movements made by a person from other objects, significantly reducing false alarms.

Both cameras are easy to set up and access via the mydlink app for smartphones and tablets. Users can take advantages of the free mydlink Cloud Recording, which stores recorded videos for 24-hours in their personal cloud storage. Alternatively, a range of paid-for options offering recording retention of up to 30-days of footage is also available.

The mydlink app also supports Rich Notifications which sends a push notification with snapshot to the mobile device the moment activity is detected. Users can react immediately without the need to log into the app by accessing the camera’s live view or calling one of two pre-assigned contacts with a single tap.

Designed with the modern smart home in mind, they can work in collaboration with a wide range of mydlink devices, such as smart plugs and sensor. They are also fully compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, providing the additional convenience of hands-free voice control. Both cameras are also compliant to ONVIF Profile S. This gives users additional flexibility when integrating with compatible network video recorders (NVRs) and video management systems (VMS).
