How WiFi4EU works
What is WiFi4EU?
The European Commission’s WiFi4EU initiative provides EU municipalities with vouchers worth €15,000 to fund wireless infrastructure to provide communities with free Wi-Fi coverage.
There are 5 application calls that will open between 2018 and the end of 2020 that give municipalities a chance to receive funding, which covers the cost of purchasing the wireless equipment and installing it in public spaces like museums or parks.

Register for funding
Register and prepare your application online so it’s ready to send as soon as the application call opens.
Send application
Simply send your prepared application when the call opens for a chance to win a voucher. But hurry, vouchers are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Winners selected
Successful municipalities are notified they’ve won a voucher worth €15k to purchase and install Wi-Fi equipment. The voucher is given to the installer which is then reimbursed by the EU.
3,400 municipalities have been selected so far.
