Better Interoperability - ONVIF Profile S

ONVIF conformant products implement the same open standard, designed to allow devices to interoperate seamlessly with each other. 
ONVIF support helps system integrators such as SI and Operators, as well as consumers to create flexible, cost-effective and future-proof security systems with D-Link Cameras. For example, users can easily record streaming video from D-Link Cameras to consumer NAS products such as those from QNAP and Synology using ONVIF Profile S.

The following D-Link cameras support ONVIF Profile S:
DCS-8330LH, DCS-8325LH, DCS-8000LHv2, DCS-8526LH, DCS-8630LH, and later mydlink LH cameras. 

Important Notes

mydlink Cloud Lockout

ONVIF APIs do not restrict adjustment of camera settings that are vital to mydlink. If settings - other than the device password - are changed via ONVIF the device will be locked out of mydlink cloud services, and the device will need to be removed from the mydlink app and reset to restore compatibility.

Specifically, during the setup process some NVR/VMS/NASes, such as those from Synology, change the camera’s video settings to a low default value that is suitable for a wide variety of cameras. Unfortunately, this action will lock the device out of mydlink cloud services.

Streaming Capabilities

Each mydlink camera supports 2 or 3 concurrent streaming connections, which are shared by the ONVIF streaming/recording, mydlink App streaming, or 3rd party integrations such as Alexa and Google live streaming. Concurrent use of ONVIF streaming simultaneously with other streaming methods may exceed the ability of the camera to provide a consistent video or audio stream. As such, we do not recommend the simultaneous use of recording/streaming via ONVIF and cloud/local SD recording.
