How do I use the Special Applications feature on my DI-604/614 router?

Some applications require multiple connections, such as Internetgaming, video conferencing, Internet telephony, VPNs, and others. These applications have difficulties working through NAT (NetworkAddress Translation). If you need to run applications that requiremultiple connections, specify the port normally associated with anapplication in the Trigger Port field, select theprotocol type as TCP (Transmission Control Protocol, UDP (UserDatagram Protocol), or both, then enter the public ports associatedwith the trigger port to open them for inbound traffic.

Step 1 Open your web browser and enter the IPaddress of your router (192.168.0.1).

Step 2 Enter your username (admin) and password,if any.

Step 3 Click on Advanced tab onthe top and then Applications on the leftside.
